I spotted this awesome playground from the bus and bookmarked it for a visit later in the week! The playground is attached to Diagonal Mar Mall. We always try to get out of the tourist areas at least once during our trips! This mall is huge and has a good amount of locals. We loved visiting Primark in particular. This is a British chain that has really cheap and cute children’s clothes that are high quality. It’s always packed, but their crowd control and line moving organizes things pretty well.
After I bought a significant amount of baby clothes, we hung out at the aforementioned playground and ate at the surrounding food court. There’s a ton of chain restaurants in case you want to give yourself a break from tapas. We ended up eating at 5 Guys.
While wandering around, we found another free park called Montanya Magica. It was basically just 4 steep metal slides set into the side of a hill. We had a ton of fun with locals racing down the slides. Even though we didn’t speak the same language, we were sharing items back and forth to make the ride faster! I also loved seeing all the parents slide down with their kids. To find this park, search in the southwest corner of Diagonal Mar Park next to the mall.
