The Swiss Alps With Kids Sample Itinerary

The Swiss Alps With Kids Sample Itinerary

Here is a sample itinerary for seeing the best The Swiss Alps have to offer with your kids. There are lots of hikes AND playgrounds so everyone is happy. With younger kids, slow down, stay longer, and take naps between activities. If you have just teens or adults, you can speed up.

The “must-do” activities are on the first day. I front-loaded this itinerary, meaning that day 1 is intense and the subsequent days are less intense. Space it out as needed. Focus on enjoying each place instead of getting it all in. The awesome thing about people who travel with kids is that it usually means you are a lifelong adventurer. Travel like you’ll return because you probably will!

See our Before You Go post and our Arrival in The Swiss Alps post to further orient yourself to the city.

Day 1: Schilthorn - Piz Gloria, Birg Hike, Allmendhubel to Mürren hike and Flower Playground, Gimmelwald.

Day 2: Kleine-Scheidegg Hike and Giant Cow Playground.

Day 3: Pfingstegg Alpine Slide, Grindlewald.
