We are all about making budget travel with children manageable and fun.

Barcelona With Kids Sample Itinerary

Barcelona With Kids Sample Itinerary

Here is a sample itinerary for seeing the best Barcelona has to offer with your kids. It pairs adult activities like museums with kid activities like parks. There’s also tons of sites that everyone will enjoy! With younger kids, slow down, stay longer, and take naps between activities. If you have teens, speed up but give them plenty of time to grab their Instagram shots. They are actually learning photography this way!

The “must-do” activities are in the first three days while subsequent days delve deeper into local life in the city. Focus on enjoying each place instead of “getting it all in.” The awesome thing about people who travel with kids is that it usually means you are a lifelong adventurer. Travel like you’ll return because you probably will!

See our Before You Go post and our Arrival in Barcelona post to further orient yourself to the city.

Day 1: City Bus Tour, Sagrada Familia (just see the exterior and visit the park on this go-around if you are here for a long time), Intro to Barcelona Walk/Las Ramblas at Night.

Day 2: Park Guell, Modernisma Walk, Montjuic Magic Fountain Show (check hours, the show is generally only on the weekends)

Day 3: Picasso Museum, Parc de la Cituadella, Chocolate Museum.

Day 4: Walk Las Ramblas to the ocean, beach afternoon, Sagrada Familia interior evening reservation.

Day 5: Tibidabo, Diagonal Mar.
