Enjoying the The Eiffel Tower With Kids For Free

Enjoying the The Eiffel Tower With Kids For Free

Activity: The Eiffel Tower. Metro Stop: Ecole Militarie. Cost: Free or 25,50€/adult, 12,70€/12-24, 6,40€/4-11, under 4 free. Hours: 9:30 am - 11:45 pm, grounds always open.

Have a pizza picnic under the Eiffel Tower. Pick up from Gusta Italia (their veggie pizza is really good) then take it across the street to the park for a picnic right in front of the Eiffel Tower. Cheaper option: grab some food from the nearest grocery store. All bread sections in Paris are heavenly. Welcome to Paris!

Gusto Italia: 199 rue de Grenelle (Metro station Ecole Militare)

If you want to climb The Eiffel Tower, best to make your reservation as soon as you know you’ll be in Paris. It's a cool (and expensive) thing to do, but you can get a similar experience for free just hanging out at the park. I also prefer the view of Paris from the Arc Du Triomphe because you can see the Eiffel Tower and that climb is covered by the Museum Pass.

If you decide to skip climbing the tower, go around to the right of the Eiffel Tower and find the little playground. Take Avenue Gustave Eiffel right when facing the Eiffel Tower. Turn down the pathway Allee Maurice Baumont. Stay right at the fork. This playground is a special place for our family because it was here that we decided we were going to keep traveling with our family no matter their ages!

If you visit during the day, make sure to return at night to see the tower twinkle! If you’re following one of our itineraries, I’ve built it into your plan.
