We are all about making budget travel with children manageable and fun.

Westminster Abbey With Kids

Westminster Abbey With Kids

Activity: Westminster Abbey. Tube Stop: Westminster Abbey. Cost: £20/adult, £9/6-16, under 5 free. Hours: 9:30-3:30

Westminster Abbey is where where Will and Kate were married and where nearly every famous Londoner is interred. Many have busts on the outside of their coffins so you can see what they looked like in real life. Some of the famous forever residents of Westminster Abbey: Queen Elizabeth I, Bloody Mary, Charles Dickens, Winston Churchill, Geoffrey Chaucer, Rudyard Kipling, and tons of other monarchs and poets. See my Trafalgar Square post for how to do a cool souvenir art project with the engraved images you will see in Westminster Abbey.

After you finish at Westminster Abbey, give the kids a break at Jubilee Gardens Playground across the Thames (pronounced TEMS). This is an excellent place for photos with the London Eye in the background. By the way, the London Eye is cool and expensive. It’s £37.00 and I’ve actually never done it. One day I won’t be a budget traveler!
